Hi, it's Preston.
A little about me…
Growing up, I played on multiple basketball teams at once. I'd have one or two practices, four or five days a week, plus games every weekend. But no matter how active I was, I was always a little bigger than the other kids. I wasn't as fast, couldn't jump as high, and couldn't run as long. It never made sense to me, because I was doing so much.
High school was more of the same. I walked into freshman year at 5'2" and 160 lbs, slimmed down a bit sophomore year, then gained it all back junior year. By senior year I was 5'10" and 185 lbs. I wasn't exactly fat, just chunky, and I honestly never realized how much weight I had to lose.
When my senior season ended and I decided not to play in college, the weight crept up fast. A few weeks later I was 195 lbs, breaking out with acne, and feeling pretty terrible mentally. The day after senior prom I was looking through the pictures, and that was the moment I knew something had to change.
I cut my hair off for a fresh start. I learned everything I could about nutrition and health, and I got serious about it. Nothing crazy, just a simple structure I stuck to every day. Three to four months later I'd lost about 30 lbs. I had abs for the first time, I felt confident, and I noticed people treated me differently.
Today I'm in the best shape of my life, and I keep it up without it taking over my life, while balancing school, Greek life, and volunteering with different sports programs. If I can make it work with that schedule, I really believe you can make it work with yours.
As for what's next, I'd love to step on a natural bodybuilding stage sometime soon, and I'm looking forward to all the friends I make along the way.
That's really why I started coaching. The structure that worked for me isn't a secret, it just helps a lot to have someone in your corner who's been there. If you want that, I'd love to help. Here's how we can work together.
